Rawstyle music is a subgenre of hardstyle electronic dance music that emerged in the mid-2000s. Rawstyle music is characterized by its aggressive and distorted sounds, heavy basslines, and use of kick drums with deep and saturated sounds.
Rawstyle music typically features a tempo of around 150-160 beats per minute (BPM) and often includes rap or spoken-word samples, as well as atmospheric soundscapes and industrial or futuristic sounds.
The rawstyle subgenre has become increasingly popular in recent years, with DJs and producers such as Radical Redemption, Warface, and D-Sturb gaining widespread recognition within the hard dance music scene. Rawstyle events and festivals are also popular, with events such as Defqon.1 and Qlimax drawing large crowds of dedicated fans.
